Essential Job Duties

Student Assistants at the D.H. Hill Library serve in the frontline patron support team providing excellent customer service to library users.

As a Student Assistant in the Access Services Department, you will work at the Ask Us service point, assisting patrons with book checkout, course reserves, and technology lending. Additionally, you will provide general help throughout the building with computers, printing, and other services, as well as provide basic reference assistance. Some moderate lifting, up to 30lbs, may be required.

Minimum Experience/Education

Must be enrolled full-time as either an Undergraduate or Graduate student.

Departmental Required Skills

Experience providing excellent customer service. Basic desktop computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Flexibility and willingness to learn new information and take on new tasks. Knowledge of library services and resources is a plus.
