Essential Job Duties

This Fall, we are starting a busy field season on a large collaborative project with the NCWRC aimed at evaluating NC game land uses and economic value. We have 9 study sites around the state — 3 in the Central/Piedmont region: 1. R. Wayne Bailey-Caswell, 2. Sandhills, 3. Butner-Falls of Neuse. Interns will travel to game lands on Saturdays and Mondays and interview game land visitors. Interns will need to provide their own transportation or be responsible for arranging carpools with other team members.

This position will approximately last from September 2017 through September 2018

Other Work/Responsibilities
Minimum Experience/Education

Must have or currently pursuing B.S. in
natural resources or related field (e.g.,
Wildlife conservation, forestry)

Departmental Required Skills

Experience working in some capacity
with game land related research

Willingness to commit to at least 10-12
days of field work during the Fall – all
Saturdays and Mondays

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

Strong communication skills
