Primary Function of Organizational Unit

Campus Enterprises is NC State University’s lead division of retail and hospitality organizations – NC State Dining, Wolfpack Outfitters, Trademark & Licensing, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers, the Wolfpack One Card Services, and Rave! Events.

Each unit shares a common goal: Deliver quality and efficient services with dedicated financial support for the student activity and scholarships. Our facilities are maintained at a level to reflect and enhance this mission.

Essential Job Duties

There are multiple vacancies on the 3rd shift. Applicants who apply to this posting will be considered for each position

This position’s overall function is utilizing a standard cleaning assignment to clean and sanitize a responsible area within a building(s). This position is also responsible for reporting discrepancies found within the building in addition to responding to emergencies and inclement weather. The position will use standard housekeeping equipment, tools, and supplies to accomplish basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing, to complete assigned job responsibilities and job tasks.

Other responsibilities include but not limited to: completing assigned projects; inventory of assigned area; moving and resetting furniture; performing proper routine maintenance on all equipment.

Other Work/Responsibilities

This position is considered Essential Personnel and may be required to report to work during Adverse Weather Conditions. This position may be required during Adverse Weather Conditions to participate in snow/ice removal under the direction of a supervisor.

Position is required to travel to other locations within Campus Enterprises to work during their shift
Minimum Experience/Education

Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Special certification may be required for some of these positions.

Departmental Required Skills

- Understand facility work schedules and diagram of buildings.

- Understand the use of appropriate cleaning product applications.

- Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds frequently and 90 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience in housekeeping, janitorial preferred

Required License or Certification
