Essential Job Duties

The project is related to color analysis of multicolored material (primarily for US Army). We are in need of urgent expert assistance to complete the development of hardware, generation of code for image analysis and pattern recognition. The individual needs to have expert knowledge of color science, image analysis, computer software development, and be able to write reports and present data analysis to stakeholders, sponsors and project leader.
The candidate will develop imaging systems for assessment of multicolored
material. Developing software, mathematical algorithms for color control, and assistance with hardware design and development

Other Work/Responsibilities

The candidate will work to write reports, presentations to various sponsors and other stake holders, field trips to gather data, assist other unit members with specified responsibilities

Minimum Experience/Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., Sc.D.) in appropriate field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment.

Departmental Required Skills

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

Experience in imaging processes, experience in color science and experience in perceptual color assessments.
